This two-day course will cover the 'All-on-4' concept from start to fitting of a provisional prosthesis in one day, including all lab stages.
It's designed to enable dental implant surgeons to diagnose and provide an immediate functional and aesthetic tooth replacement with predictability.
During the course you'll:
- become familiar with the history and principles of the All-on-4 technique
- understand the principles of treatment planning an All-on-4 case
- see and become familiar with the planning stages for an All-on-4 procedure
- see the surgical placement and immediate loading of a single jaw
- understand the use of CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) in diagnosis and planning
- see the use of guided surgery to aid implant placement
- see the surgical and restorative stages for the All-on-4 procedure
The course is run by the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London which has a broad range of continuing professional development (CPD) short courses. These provide hands-on training from experienced staff in dedicated facilities.
The course will cover the following:
- Patient assessment, basic implant science
- Implant planning for immediate placement and loading
- Implant treatment sequence
- Hands-on implant placement on specially designed models and restoration
- Hands-on implant provisional for single unit
- Theory of immediate loading for single to full arch including the All-on-4 technique
- Live surgery demonstrating the All-on-4 technique
By the end of the course you should be able to select suitable cases and plan each one for a fixed, highly aesthetic, functional and immediate tooth replacement.
Who this course is for
The course is aimed at experienced implant surgeons who'd like to develop an overview of this rapidly changing field. It serves as an excellent introduction to further training in implant treatment.
You'll need to hold an approved dental qualification and be an experienced implant surgeon.
Teaching and structure
Each day will run from approximately 9:30am to 5pm.
The morning sessions provide interactive seminars on the theoretical aspects of dental implants. The seminars are supplemented with videos of live clinical cases to highlight key stages in treatment.
The hands-on element involves implant preparation with SimPlant surgical guides for an All-on-4 procedure.
Each session is packed with practical clinical tips, which can be applied to implant dentistry as well as the wider field of restorative dentistry.
CPD points and certificate
You'll gain 13 hours of verifiable CPD and a certificate of attendance on completing the course.
All Eastman teachers are experienced professionals. You'll be asked to submit written feedback via a questionnaire at the end of the course, which is used to monitor the course's quality of teaching and value for money.

Dr Wail Girgis
Wail is a specialist prosthodontist at Devonshire House in Cambridge - a specialist practice where the team places over 800 implants a year. He's recently introduced a comprehensive education programme offering dental professionals a range of short and long courses in many aspects of dentistry. In addition to the traditional year course for dentists new to implantology, Devonshire House offers a second year course for dentists who wish to progress their learning and build confidence, carrying out surgery under specialist guidance. Wail is a lecturer and examiner in implant dentistry at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and a lecturer and member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has a wealth of experience in practice, education and offers a mentoring service to dentists at any stage of their career.
Dr Cyrus Nykkhah
Cyrus is a partner at Devonshire House and a specialist prosthodontist. He provides general dental care for a broad patient base and, as a specialist prosthodontist, is especially skilled in the replacement of missing teeth, the restoration of natural teeth and in complicated and simple restorations of the whole mouth. Cyrus completed his specialist training in fixed and removable prosthodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute where he continues to teach postgraduates in implant dentistry. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology for whom he's a clinical lecturer
