Deaf Awareness: Online Courses for Health Professionals

A suite of online courses aims to help health professionals better understand the communication needs of D/deaf and hard of hearing (HoH) patients.

The Arena Centre for Research-based Education has launched a number of online courses for doctors, nurses, audiologists and other professions working in a healthcare setting.

As well as sharing patients' real life experiences, the courses offer practical tips for improving services for D/deaf and HoH patients.

Each course takes two hours to complete and has been tailored for those working in different professions.

The courses are free of charge.
