Students from other universities and members of the public are welcome to study individual undergraduate and postgraduate modules from any of the SELCS departments (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Scandinavian Studies and Spanish & Latin American Studies), subject to the approval of the SELCS's Admissions Officer, in consultation with the module tutor.
Current UCL students may, with the permission of their parent department, the module tutor and the SELCS School Manager, audit SELCS modules. They will not be charged a fee, but they cannot be assessed or claim academic credit for auditing modules; nor can they claim 'extenuating circumstances' on account of their attendance of, or study for, SELCS modules.
Auditing modules do not bear any credit, and non-UCL auditing students will not be entitled to be member of the UCL Student Union through auditing.
People who wish to take Italian as an auditing student may be interested in the Made in Italy course offered by the Italian Department.
