Join us for our hybrid open event!
If you're considering a PhD in Security & Crime Science at UCL, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about our Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) that tackle real-world challenges in cutting-edge research areas, including Cyber-Physical Risk, Cybersecurity, and Security Science.
You’ll also have the chance to explore our new CDT in Cyber-Physical Risk, in collaboration with UCL Computer Science and industry partners. With the first cohort starting in September 2025, this event is a great opportunity to discover fully-funded PhD programmes focused on training leaders to analyse, prevent, and mitigate hybrid threats (i.e those in both cyber and physical spaces like the emerging metaverse).
Find out more about the other programmes we offer, speak with programme convenors, and hear directly from current students about their experiences.
We’ll also provide information about the application process and available funding options.
Provisional agenda:
- 6:00pm – Arrival and welcome
- 6:05pm – Introduction to our CDTs from the Postgraduate Research Tutor
- 6:10pm – New CDT in Cyber-Physical Risk overview
- 6:25pm – UCL SECReT overview
- 6:40pm – CDT in Cybersecurity overview
- 6:55pm – Current students’ presentation
- 7:05pm – Q&A
- 7:30pm – Networking with drinks and nibbles
The event will take place in Room 225, Central House, 14 Upper Woburn Place, WC1H 0NN.
If you’re unable to attend in person, please register to join online via Zoom.
