UCL School of Life and Medical Sciences

About us

What do Research Facilitators do?

We work with UCL researchers to support them in submitting successful grant and fellowship applications. We also work with UCL divisions, faculties and schools to facilitate strategic projects.

When supporting grant and fellowship applications we:

  • Assess the applicant's eligibility, matching it to remit for funding schemes to ensure an application at the most competitive point
  • Support the development of the application by providing guidance resources and reviewing draft applications
  • Support mock interviews for applicants who have been invited to interview, when awards are to be held at UCL.*

*Please note: If you have not yet been shortlisted or are applying for internal funding, please see our mock interview guidance to organise your own mock interviews. If you are moving to a different host institution, your new institution should help to organise mock interviews.

If you are looking for advice on funding, require a review of your grant application, or would like to set up mock interviews, please contact us - slms.facilitators@ucl.ac.uk.
