Supporting Researchers

The Research Coordination Office team offers specialist, and one-to-one support for UCL researchers - from early career to senior academics.

We research, publish and disseminate information about funding and fellowship opportunities, and work with researchers to hone applications and to navigate any pre-award processes, including preparing for interviews. On average, we support around 100 fellowship award applications a year. See below for links to funding updates and opportunities, funder talks, and detailed guidance documents.

When supporting grant and fellowship applications we:

  • Assess the applicant's eligibility, matching it to remit for funding schemes to ensure an application at the most competitive point
  • Support the development of the application by providing guidance resources and reviewing draft applications
  • Support mock interviews for applicants who have been invited to interview, when awards are to be held at UCL.*

If you are looking for advice on funding, require a review of your grant application, or would like to set up mock interviews, please contact us on slms.facilitators@ucl.ac.uk.
