The Isaac Schapera Research Trust provides support towards the cost of research at any one or more of London University's Medical Schools, into problems relating to the causes and cures of diseases.

The Isaac Schapera Research Trust was created in 2005, following a bequest from Professor Isaac Schapera for the purpose of contributing towards the cost of research at any one or more of London University's medical schools, into problems relating to the causes and cures of diseases.
Since 2017 the funding has been divided between the four London medical Schools, to provide research support and materials for junior doctors on Academic Foundation Programmes.
IMPORTANT: Please read these regulations carefully before completing the application form.
In order to apply to this Fund you must be:
- An Academic F1 or F2. If applying after F2 students will need to provide evidence of why they are applying after their Foundation years. Applications received more than 12 months from the end of the F2 post will not be considered;
- Funding must support research conducted during Foundation years. Work conducted during an intercalated BSc will not be eligible for support.
NB If you are eligible the ACO will contact you in November requesting applications in January with decisions returned by late February.
