The Watkins Bursary aims to enable UK domiciled students from low-income backgrounds to pursue an undergraduate degree at UCL.
Eligibility
Eligible candidates must:
- be domiciled in the UK with Home fee status;
- be from a disadvantaged background;
- hold an offer of admission to UCL to study for a full-time undergraduate programme.
Value, benefits, and duration
The award provides £2,500 per year for three years and is subject to satisfactory academic progress. The award is to cover maintenance costs.
One award is available.
Selection
The criterion for awarding the bursary is financial need and you will need to demonstrate this in the application.
How to apply
The Watkins Bursary is one of the schemes that make up the Undergraduate Funding and Access Awards (UGFA).

Results
The UGFAs will be awarded by recommendation by a panel composed of UCL staff. The successful candidates will be notified as soon as decisions are made by mid-September.
