The Political Science Opportunity Scholarship aims to support UK domiciled students in financial need to pursue an undergraduate degree within the Department of Political Sciences at UCL.
Eligibility
Eligible candidates must:
- be domiciled in the UK with Home fee status;
- be in financial need
- hold an offer of admission to UCL to study a three year full-time undergraduate degree in the department of Political Sciences for the 2025/26 intake.
Value, benefits, and duration
The award provides £29,250 per year for a three year undergraduate programme and is subject to satisfactory academic progress. The award will be applied to cover tuition fees in the first instance, with remainder payable as maintenance.

Selection
The criterion for awarding the scholarship is financial need and you will need to demonstrate this in the application.

The Political Science Opportunity Scholarship is one of the schemes that make up the Undergraduate Funding and Access Awards (UGFA).

Results
The UGFAs will be awarded by recommendation by a panel composed of UCL staff. The successful candidates will be notified as soon as decisions are made by mid-September.
