The Mukul Madhav Foundation Scholarship was founded in 2025 to assist Indian nationals to undertake Master's study at UCL in the Institute of Global Health or Institute of Child Health
Eligibility
Candidates must fulfil all of the following criteria:
- be ordinarily resident in India and eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate;
- AND have submitted a complete admission application (including the submission of references) for a full-time, one-year Master's degree at UCL in 2025/26 for one of the following programmes;
- AND be in receipt of an offer from UCL by the selection result deadline in late June. Please note: Distance-learning options are not eligible for this fund; students must be coming to the UK to attend UCL in person
Value, benefits, and duration
- There is 1 (one) scholarship available in 2025/26.
- The value of the scholarship covers the full tuition fees.
- The scholarship is tenable for one year only and for one-year programmes only.
- The Scholarship may be held alongside other scholarships, studentships, awards, or bursaries depending on the total value of other funds received by the student.
- Scholarship recipients are obliged to inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately of any other funding they are awarded towards their UCL Master’s degree studies, before or subsequent to the Mukul Madhav Foundation Scholarship being awarded.
Selection
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need and upon the recommendation of the Student Funding Office.

Successful candidates for 2025/26 will be notified in by late June 2025. Please note you must be in receipt of an offer by this point to be selected for award.
