GREAT Scholarship for Justice and Law

The UCL- GREAT Scholarship for Justice and Law 2023 is jointly funded by the British Council and UCL. The aim is to provide financial support to citizens of specified countries.

Selection criteria: Academic excellence and financial need
Eligible fee status: Overseas (Indonesia)
Eligible programmes: Postgraduate taught

Eligibility

Candidates must be citizens of Indonesia

Candidates must have submitted an application to study a full-time Master's degree in any LLM Law Programme, including LLM Specialist Law Degrees such as: Competition Law at UCL in 2023/24 and hold an offer by the scholarship closing date of 23rd May 2023. Please note distance learning and mod flex courses are not eligible. 


Value, benefits, and duration

  • There is 1 scholarship available in 2023/24
  • The value of the scholarship is £10,000
  • The scholarships are for offer holders in the following programmes: All LLM Law Programmes, including LLM Specialist Law Degrees such as: Competition Law
  • The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s tuition fees
  • Award recipients are obliged to inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately of any other funding they are awarded towards their UCL Master’s degree studies, before or subsequent to the UCL – GREAT scholarship. The GREAT Scholarship must be used to pay your tuition fees.

How to apply

You need to have submitted an admission application to UCL (including the submission of references) in order to apply for the scholarship.

Instructions for accessing the online scholarship application form:

  1. Login to Portico with your normal details.
  2. Click on the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for funding for.
  3. In the application screen, click on the ‘Funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
  4. You are now on the funding page. To find out which funds you are eligible to apply for click 'Check and apply' under ‘Funds Available’.
  5. Click on the scholarship name of the scheme that you wish to apply for.

NB. For each programme that you wish to apply for funding for, you will need to submit a separate scholarship application form.

Results

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted early/ mid June to provide evidence of financial need. When this has been assessed, successful candidates will be informed at the beginning of July.
