The IOSH Managing Safely course provides DSOs and safety professionals with the essential knowledge and understanding of how to manage health and safety responsibilities in the workplace.
Course description
IOSH Managing Safely® provides essential knowledge and understanding of how to manage health and safety. IOSH Managing Safely is designed for those who have health and safety responsibilities in their roles at UCL and will ensure they understand their health and safety responsibilities. It reinforces why good health and safety is essential to performing their roles successfully. The course will be delivered virtually.
Prerequisites
Candidates must be appointed in a health and safety role to support the Department achieve T100 or T100 Lite.
This instructor-led training courses is delivered by our training partner, Gallagher Bassett.
Objectives
IOSH Managing Safely covers the following topics:
- Introducing Managing Safely
- Assessing Risk
- Controlling Risks
- Understanding Responsibilities
- Understanding Hazards
- Investigating Incidents
- Measuring Performance
Target audience
IOSH Managing Safely is designed for those employees who have been appointed by their Head of Department and have health and safety responsibilities in their roles at UCL. The course will ensure they understand their health and safety responsibilities. This includes Departmental Safety Officers and other health and safety professionals.
Cost
Training courses are free to UCL staff however your Department will be charged the course fee per person for non-attendance without good reason.
