​Working with ionising radiation outside of UCL ​

UCL staff working with ionising radiation at another organisation must inform the Radiation Protection Team at least 28 days in advance of any planned work.

If you plan to work with ionising radiation at another organisation (whether in the UK or in another country) you must get in touch with the Radiation Protection Team at least 28 days in advance with the following information: ​

  • ​The name of the organisation you will be working at.
  • A description of the actual work to be carried out, including the type of likely radiation exposure.
  • Any paperwork, forms, or information you have been sent with regard to radiation protection.
  • The name and contact details of the person in the organisation responsible for managing radiation protection.
