Management of X-rays training

This eLearning course is recommended for UCL staff using or managing x-ray equipment.

Course description

This eLearning course will explain the rules that govern the management of x-ray equipment at UCL and how they can be implemented.

All safety instructor-led training courses are delivered by our team of safety experts.


The Management of X-rays eLearning course covers:

  • What are x-rays
  • Health effects
  • Who is who of x-rays at UCL
  • The law
  • Planning for x-ray equipment
  • Risk assessment
  • People using x-rays
  • Personal monitoring
  • Accidents and incidents
  • Disposal or transfer of x-ray equipment

Target audience

This course is recommended for anyone using or managing x-ray equipment


Training courses are free to UCL staff however your Department will be charged £50 if you fail to attend when booked on a course.  Non-attendance at first aid courses will incur a higher non-attendance fee.

External delegates

Places to external delegates are only offered if there is spare capacity on an instructor-led course.
