UCL Safety Induction training
This safety induction aims to develop and maintain a culture that embraces good health and safety practices in all activities.
Hello and welcome to UCL.
The UCL Safety Induction aims to instil awareness that all staff and graduate students have active roles, as individuals as well as part of the UCL community, in developing and maintaining a culture that embraces good health and safety practices.
It would be advisable, before you undertake this module, to first complete your local safety induction (this links to UCL Safety Services web page) which includes carrying out a local fire safety familiarisation of your place of work using a checklist TN086, and to complete the UCL Fire Safety eLearning module.
You would have demonstrated compliance with UCL's mandatory requirement for safety induction for new starters after all the three components are fully completed.
This learning/information module is set out in four sections and you must complete ALL of the required activities according to the instruction within each section:
- View the presentation on safety, health and well-being at UCL
- View the UCL's Health and Safety Policy document
- Complete the multiple-choice quiz
- Confirm that you have completed your local safety induction.
Training courses are free to UCL staff however your Department will be charged £50 if you fail to attend when booked on a course. Non-attendance at first aid courses will incur a higher non-attendance fee.
If you have not received your confirmation notification from the MyHR Mailer please contact Safety Services on 020 3108 8592 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
