Safety Services launches "Basics of Radiation Safety" training — essential for all radiation workers, this new e-learning provides the knowledge you need to work safely with radioactive materials and is the first step toward registration as a UCL Radiation Worker.
Do you want to work with radioactive materials? Our new "Basics of Radiation Safety" online training is the first step on your path to becoming a UCL Radiation Worker. It will give you the essential knowledge and skills you need to keep yourself and others safe. It's also packed with handy resources to help you as you start working with radioactive materials.
What is the "Basics of Radiation Safety" training?
Split into three easy-to-follow modules, the interactive online training takes around an hour to complete, so you can save your progress and return whenever is convenient for you.
- Module 1: An introduction to ionising radiation.
- Module 2: The key principles of radiation safety.
- Module 3: How we handle radiation safety controls, specifically at UCL.
You'll also get access to a useful Resources page with extra tips and information.
