Since the return to campus there has been an increase in injuries and incidents relating to manual handling activities.
To avoid injuries and incidents manual handling activities should be suitably risk assessed and individuals should have received the appropriate training to undertake manual handling tasks safely.
What you need to know
In order to minimise manual handling related incidents, Departments should review their manual handling arrangements and make staff aware of the requirements of these.
