Assessing seismic hazards by using generalized linear modelling for Gumbel-distributed data: From a Bayesian perspective

Assessing seismic hazards is a challenging task because of the uncertainties in the prediction of the magnitude, location and shaking intensities of future earthquakes. Lack of sufficient data regarding seismic hazards makes this assessment even more challenging. Recent technologies for seismic hazard assessment extensively use statistical tools and techniques. My study aims at developing a new model for the assessment of seismic hazard precisely as well as comparing this with the existing models.
