Vulnerability Assessment of Coastal Areas to Cyclone Hazards: A Case Study from the Sultanate of Oman

My aim of the research is to identify the main characteristics that render people and locations more vulnerable or more resilient to cyclone hazards at some selected coastal districts in Oman. Also, I aim to find out how those characteristics are created, why they came to exist and how resilient and coping capacities are related to vulnerability. At the end, I hope to provide some recommendations to decrease disaster risk reduction in Oman.
