Alongside his PhD, Pierre works at the United Development Programme and is currently based in the Dominican Republic, acting as team lead for Environmental Affairs.

Safe in the Face of Climate Change: The Role of Religious Leaders
In my research, I aim to explore the role of religious leaders and of religious structures in the increase or decrease of vulnerability for their communities and for those living at the margins, facing loss and damage induced by climate change (both extreme and slow onset events).

Teaching
Pierre has been teaching Climate Diplomacy at the university AgroParisTech and in more than five academic institutions in France between 2017 and 2019. He has been a tutor and lecturer at the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London between 2019 and 2023. He currently serves as an associate lecturer for the Humanitarian Policy module at UCL.
