Volcanic Wisdom: Strengthening Global Resilience Through Enhanced Multi-Hazard Early Warning and Alert Level Systems

This research aims to strengthen global readiness for compounding natural hazards by learning from how scientists monitor and communicate volcanic risks. By studying established early warning and alert systems, specifically volcanic alert level systems (VALSs), it seeks to develop more robust early warning systems and alert level systems to help communities prepare for a wide range of multiple natural hazards occurring across different geographies and temporal scales.
