An IoT-Based Surveillance System to Control the Outbreak of Mosquito-Borne Diseases: A Case Study of ZIKA at Brazil
The aim of my research is to develop and implement a cloud-based early warning surveillance system in real-time to predicate any prevalence of vector-borne diseases using the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile application. Also, I aim to examine and understand the correlation between different factors of climate or demographic and mosquitoes’ transmission. Finally, I intend to develop a system or tool that can be expanded beyond Brazil and possibly anywhere in the world to allow decision-makers to identify areas of high risk for the disease before an outbreak occurs and increase disease control.
