Stand with Hope Exhibition

From 14 February to 7 March 2022, the UCL Student Centre hosted the House of Commons’ ‘Hope the Lego Suffragette’, a life-size Lego figure created to help tell the story of inequalities and women’s suffrage.

Between 14 February to 7 March 2022, Hope will be on display in the UCL Student Centre foyer. To accompany her visit to UCL, a specially commissioned exhibition from UCL Special Collections, will be displayed nearby.

The exhibition will include items that illustrate the history of the women's suffrage movement, representing a variety of perspectives, and drawn from our 2018 Dangers and Delusions exhibition. Additionally, we are displaying a selection of materials identified by Special Collections’ recent Liberating the Collections project, working with volunteers to shine a spotlight on historically marginalised voices in our archives and rare books.
