We are recruiting five to seven social science PhD students (post-upgrade) who will form a Coordinating Group. The group complements, and works alongside, the Domain’s Early Career Researcher Network and there is scope to collaborate with UCL’s Sociology Network’s PhD Group.
About CSSD
CSSD fosters collaboration across the various social sciences within UCL, and between the social sciences and the natural and applied sciences, and the humanities across UCL departments and faculties. Through a program of engagement and impact activities we seek to build UCL capacity in this domain, encourage methodological innovation, and establish collaborative networks across disciplinary boundaries.
Commitment and role
This role is a commitment of min 1 hour a week (1/2 day a month), and involves:
- Attending PhD Coordinating Group meetings
- Promoting the visibility of the PhD Group to other UCL PhD students and relevant groups and networks across UCL
- Initiating, organising and coordinating a programme of activities with the aim of holding an event or other activity once every two months
The group is supported by the Domain Chair, a PhD Champion from our Steering Group and a Strategic Coordinator.
