The Food, Metabolism and Society Research Domain showcases research on a wide range of topics related to healthy human metabolic function and the environmental and economic impact of human, animal and microbial metabolisms. The research domain serves as a hub for all UCL work on the topic and is an active network of researchers from across UCL, the Francis Crick Institute, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
The Domain is co-chaired by Professor Frances Brodsky, Professor Mark Miodownik and Professor Mark Thomas.
Mission Statement
We combine UCL resources to promote interdisciplinary approaches addressing metabolic disease and global nutrition, and to further communication between academics, policy-makers, the food industry, and the public.
