We are keen to pursue partnership opportunities which relate to the development, delivery and use of our services. Our partnerships cover academic, industrial, commercial and charity sectors. For example, we supply specialist research software development services to both academic and industrial partners, deliver innovative e-infrastructure design and configuration services and provide expertise in research data management policy and best practice.


Science and Engineering South (SES)

The SES consortium is a world-leading science and engineering research hub formed by 5 leading research-intensive universities, focusing on the development and operation of shared e-Infrastructure and other major research facilities.



eMedlab is an £8.9m MRC-funded medical informatics platform being developed by a consortium comprising UCL, Queen Mary University of London, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the Francis Crick Institute, the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the European Bioinformatics Institute.

Farr Institute

The Farr Institute for collaborative research in health informatics was established in 2013 following an MRC award totalling £5.3m. Research IT Services have partnered with Farr London to provide them with HPC and Research Data storage solutions, as well as training to help researchers who are new to HPC exploit its capabilities for the first time.

UCL Consultants

We work with colleagues in UCLC to provide advice and consultancy to UCL start-ups and other enterprise initiatives,  with a focus on software engineering and development for academic spin-outs.

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Medical Imaging

We provide two courses for the UCL EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Medical Imaging programme: Research Software Engineering with Python and Research Computing with C++
