UCL Special Collections holds an interesting annotated copy of Galileo's Il saggiatore (1623) containing an inscription stating that the copy was give to a former owner by the author. Nick Wilding (Professor Of History at Georgia State University, U.S.A.) and Jason W. Dean (Vice President For Collections And Public Services at Linda Hall Library, U.S.A.) have been studying copies of Galileo's works and will talk in this Rare-Books Club Online session about their work.
UCL Rare-Books Club aims to promote UCL’s Special Collections for research, and to facilitate conversations between curators, research students and professional researchers working on the collections, but sessions are open to all. They are programmed and chaired by Dr. Tabitha Tuckett, UCL Rare-Books And Academic Liaison Librarian. Details of the full programme will be posted on our UCL Rare-Books Club Eventbrite listings
