Dr. Elaine Leong (UCL History) has been researching copies of the Pharmacopoeia Londinensis held in UCL's Rare Books. This was a ground-breaking pharmacy manual published by the Royal College Of Physicians in the 1600s listing medicines, their ingredients and their uses. Dr. Leong will talk in particular about an interesting annotated copy. We hope to be able to show the physical copy live online after the talk and there will be opportunities for questions and discussion.

UCL Rare-Books Club aims to promote UCL’s Special Collections for research, and to facilitate conversations between curators, research students and professional researchers working on the collections, but sessions are open to all. They are programmed and chaired by Dr. Tabitha Tuckett, UCL Rare-Books And Academic Liaison Librarian. Sessions take place weekly on Wednesdays in July, August and early September.

Details of the full programme will be posted on Eventbrite shortly. Check our UCL Rare-Books Club Eventbrite listings.
