Worktribe reporting

Worktribe Research application and award data can now be viewed on two platforms to enable academic departments to interrogate and analyse their pre-award activity.

Strategic dashboards


The Integration of Worktribe with UCL’s new integrated data warehouse (IDW), supported by Tableau analytical and visualisation software, and signifies a step change in research management reporting capabilities. 

The dashboards, developed in consultation with stakeholders, provide direct access to up-to-date research application and award information (updated nightly). They are equipped with a range of filters to assist academic departments’ interrogate, analyse and compare pre-award activity.

All dashboards can be filtered by School (L2), Faculty (L3), Division/Department (L4) and Centre (L5). The dashboards currently available are summarised below:

Submission detail

Provides a detailed summary of the applications submitted and the status, with embedded link to Worktribe record.

Details a high-level profile of submitted applications with a range of filters, including Price, Cost, Contribution to Overheads, and FEC Recovery.

Worktribe system searches


Worktribe Research Management System search function allows users to create reports for their area of responsibility. There are two types of Searches which are summarised below:

  • Shared searches: provides detailed reports of Research Applications submitted and Awarded in the last two financial years. These reports are fully exportable to enable further analysis.
  • Search projects: allows a user to create a bespoke report using Worktribe data fields for their area of responsibility. Further information on how to create a Report is under the Help Topics on Worktribe.
