Overview
Under the Full Economic Costing (FEC) methodology, all research and innovation project costings need to include an estimate of the time commitment for Principal Investigators (PIs) and Co-Investigators (Co-Is), regardless of the funding source or whether the time is directly funded. Estimates should be realistic and based on the specific demands of the project, the investigator’s existing commitments, and the structure of the project team.
This guidance aims to help UCL researchers ensure time allocations align with funder expectations while also supporting effective project delivery.
