RIS Christmas closure deadlines

In preparation for the UCL Christmas closure and to ensure that department and academics receive the support they need, please be aware of the key deadlines for grant applications and other RIS Services.
In line with UCL’s Christmas closure, Research and Innovation Services (RIS) will close at 5pm on Friday 20 December 2024, and re-open at 9am on Thursday 2 January 2025.

Grant application deadlines
For funder deadlines between Wednesday 18 December 2024 and Monday 6 January 2025 (inclusive):
- For proposals to be checked and submitted prior to the Christmas closure period, the locally approved Worktribe should be with our Pre-Award team by close of business on Tuesday 9 December 2024.
- Final applications must be with our Pre-Award team by close of business on Monday 16 December 2024, for approval via the funder online system or signature.
Worktribe Organisation Requests
If you require a partner or funder to be added to the Worktribe system the final Worktribe Organisation Request should be submitted no later than Friday 13 December 2024 to ensure these are processed in time.
Due Diligence
Due diligence assessment requests or requirements for new funders and partners should also be submitted to our Compliance and Assurance team by Friday 13 December 2024.
Ethics
The next high-risk research ethics application submission deadline is Wednesday 27 November 2024 for Research Ethics Committee meetings taking place in January 2025.
Colleagues wishing to receive initial feedback on a new low-risk ethics application before the closure should submit their application no later than Friday 29 November 2024. Applications submitted after this date will receive review comments after UCL reopens in the new year.
