Extensions to Projects impacted by COVID-19 Closures

Information on action required if you have received an amendment to your sponsored research project’s end date or budget as a consequence of COVID-19.

If your project deliverables have been delayed due to COVID-19 you should inform your funder immediately. The majority of Funders are suggesting no cost extensions will be available to PI’s, however, they will assess the impact on each project individually.
If you have already received a no cost extension and/or a supplement to the original budget, please inform Research Services as soon as possible so we can update your project on UCL’s systems.
To notify Research Services you should log into your project on Worktribe and initiate the Extend or Supplement Process. This is done by selecting the relevant green button from the Project Summary screen and then completing the required fields. Please upload written confirmation from your funder in the documents section.

For projects which were applied for prior to the Worktribe implementation (July 2016) please email confirmation of the extension directly to your Research Finance Administrator in Research Services Post Award Team or alternatively email fin-post-awrd-admin@ucl.ac.uk.
