UCL academics can still apply for Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Funding

Despite the ongoing uncertainty regarding Brexit, UCL academics are still very much eligible and encouraged to apply for Horizon 2020 research and innovation funding.

The next round of draft work programmes are currently in circulation - with the next set of call deadlines in place for the end of the summer. These include all collaborative pillars, ERC and MSCA funding. 

The next EU Collaborative Calls open in July 2019, with the following research areas having deadlines between August and November 2019: 

  • Health (non-communicable diseases, multi-morbidity conditions, digital health and artificial intelligence), 
  • ICT (artificial intelligence, 5G)
  • Energy (all topics).

The European Research & Innovation Office (ERIO) works to keep University College London at the forefront of European collaboration in research & innovation. UCL is one of the leading participants in the European Union's €79 billion "Horizon 2020" funding programme.
