Local Research Ethics Committees

Several departments and faculties have established Local Research Ethics Committees (LRECs) to review and approve low-risk applications. Find contact details for approved LRECs at UCL.

The LREC Chairs group facilitates the sharing of best practice and developing consistent approaches to emerging ethical issues for the 26 Local Research Ethics Committees (LRECs) operating in faculties and departments. To apply for LREC approval contact ethics@ucl.ac.uk.
