Torr graduated with an MSc degree in Physics from the University of Sheffield, before joining the CDT in Delivering Quantum Technologies at UCL. Having obtained his MRes degree in the CDT, he then joined the Quantum Devices Group for his PhD. Torr's project involves developing As spin qubits in silicon for quantum information processing applications. In particular Torr is looking at ways to control and readout the electron spin states at sub-microsecond timescales using radio-frequency reflectometry readout. The main aim is to generate entanglement between remote spin qubits using a measurement-based approach.
