Small grants awarded in 2017/18

The Small Grants Scheme 2017/18 ran under two main themes under 'Policy Challenges' and 'Expert Engagement'.

The Small Grants Scheme 2017/18 ran under two main themes:

Policy Challenges - addressing real challenges set by our partners in Local and National Government, including Trade, Justice and Community.

Expert Engagement - exploring the role of academic expertise in public discourse and engagement around policy questions.

Each offered awards of up to £4,000 per project 

Policy Challenges

  • Adam Golden/Graham Robinson – "Future Supply and Demand Mechanism within the Service Sector"Award value: £4,000
  • Professor Muki Haklay/Jack Stilgoe – "Policy roundtable event with public and policy participants - visions for future UK and EU citizen science collaborations", Award value: £4,000

Expert Engagement 

  • Fatima Wurie/Professor Andrew Hayward – "Engaging with marginalised groups on access to and affordability of treatment for Hepatitis C ", Award value: £3,470
  • Dr Kartikeya Tripathi – "Expert engagement  for development of a toolkit to respond to cybercrime against older people in India", Award value: £4,000
