What do we do?

Our lab works on developing and testing novel experimental treatments for traumatic stress, addiction and anxiety disorders. We use techniques from cognitive psychology, psychopharmacology and neuroscience to identify promising psychological and pharmacological procedures aimed at alleviating distressing symptoms caused by abnormal cognitive processes that are common to many psychological disorders.

Our funding has come from the Medical Research Council and The Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation.

Please consider donating to the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation (SBCF) as part of their fund raising drive to raise money during the COVID-19 crisis. Refugee camps supported by the SBCF in Jordon and Cambodia need your help. The risks associated with coronavirus are particularly acute in refugee camps, where crowding poses heightened risks of infection. Medical supplies are urgently needed at this time, and any donation, no matter how big or small will help.
