Brent Centre 50th Anniversary Conference

The Brent Centre for Young People is celebrating the Centre's 50th Anniversary with a two-day Conference in October 2017. The BCYP is bringing together experienced professionals working with young people to discuss and showcase efficient methods of helping disturbed adolescents. It will be an opportunity to share methods of best practice; increase the understanding of adolescent development and build international links between professionals in the field.

The Brent Centre is a leading mental health charity based in North West London and has been providing psychotherapeutic services to young people for 50 years. Dr Moses Laufer and Mrs Egle Laufer, the founders of the Brent Centre, recognised that adolescents had distinct needs to those of children and adults, and therefore would benefit from specialist mental health services. The Laufers were pioneers of age appropriate and tailored support, and the Centre was one of the first in the UK to cater specifically to adolescents.

Mrs. Eglé Laufer will be attending the Conference and senior colleagues from the UK and abroad will be presenting their inspiring work with adolescents.

CPD certificates can be issued if required by participants.

The Conference will take place at the Royal College of Physicians, Regents Park, in London, on the 27th and 28th October 2017.
