Countertransference and Working with Couples
Start Date: Friday 17 June 2016
This one day workshop is suitable for trainees, health workers, newly-qualified counsellors and psychotherapists - both individual and couple - and also for experienced qualified practitioners who would like to revisit and further explore this aspect of their practice and to deepen their understanding of the often powerful feelings stirred up in them when working with couples.

Tavistock Relationships Summer School programmes offer students the opportunity to learn about couple work in a short, intensive CPD programme, with evenings free to enjoy London's rich arts calendar of theatre, concerts and exhibitions.
The following schools are available for students depending on their level of experience;
- Introduction to Couple Therapy Summer School - For beginners with no experience and who are interested in Clinical Training in September to become a qualified Couple Therapist.
- Developing Skills in Couple Work International Summer School - For qualified professionals in individual, child, family & group therapy who are interested in finding out more about the couple relationship.
- Advanced Couple Therapy International Summer School - An opportunity for qualified couple-trained therapists to explore theory and techniques in couple therapy.
Our summer school programmes are taught in Central London and are popular with professionals living in the UK as well as international students from countries across the globe, including Australia, USA, and France and beyond.
Working with the Dynamics and Disorders of Sexual Desire
Start Date: Friday 30 September 2016
In this course we will explore the relationship, individual and biomedical factors that underpin desire problems between partners. Treatment approaches will be described and participants will have opportunities to discuss their own cases.
