Meet the team
The START Dissemination team is made up of a mixture of clinical and research members.
- Professor Gill Livingston
Professor Livingston was the Chief Investigator for the original START project and led the quantitative and qualitative evaluations of START. She is the Chief Investigator for this dissemination project and devised both of these research projects.
- Dr Penny Rapaport
Penny is a Clinical Psychologist who will be delivering the START training sessions across the UK. Penny was a co-applicant on the original START project and supervised all research staff delivering the intervention.
Penny has extensive experience of training and supervising clinical psychologists in working with people with dementia and their families in a range of settings and has led on the implementation of the START intervention within Camden and Islington IAPT.
Penny is employed by Dementia UK as a freelance clinical supervisor of Admiral Nurses.
- Dr Claudia Cooper
Dr Cooper was co-applicant and local Camden Principal Investigator during the original START project. She is co-investigator for this dissemination project.
- Dr Sarah Amador
Sarah is the project manager working on the Foundation Laying to Widen Access to START project.
