 Abstract:

This talk will explore the link between early-life adversity and mental disorder. Evidence will be presented from two British birth cohorts, a cohort of Canadian children, and a cohort of Canadian soldiers. The talk will highlight some of the methodological challenges in studying associations between early-life stress and adolescent or adult mental health, and will end with speculation about whether it's possible to reverse early-life insults to a developing child.
