Joseph Sawyer

Research Interests

I am an Alzheimer's Society funded Clinical Academic Fellow in Palliative Medicine. My research interests centre on novel public health approaches to palliative care including compassionate communities. My PhD is using realist evaluation methods to understand how the principles of health promoting public health can be applied to people affected by dementia at the end of life. I studied medicine at Imperial College London and gained my MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I work clinically as a Specialist Registrar in Palliative Medicine in London.
