The event provides an opportunity to hear presentations of recent research relating to the links between loneliness or social isolation and mental health problems – whether understanding the pathways between them, the experience of loneliness or social isolation among people with mental health problems, or the interventions that might be acceptable or effective in addressing loneliness and social isolation in relation to mental health.

The event also provides an opportunity to create connections with others interested in loneliness or social isolation in mental health research.
