I am first point of contact for staff, visitors, and others to the Division. I assist the Divisional Postgraduate Tutor including acting as the first point of contact for all postgraduate enquiries and PhD students, and assisting with the enrolment, and induction. I am the administrator for MRCPsych course and work along with the lead. I provide administrative support to Director of Division, PA to Director and Divisional Manager as and when required. I am a member of the Health and Safety Committee, attending & minuting meetings and resolving actions.
EDI gave me knowledge in terms of career wise. Being part of professional services many of us felt as though we did not have many opportunities to move up in terms of career progression. EDI allowed me to be more vocal and confident and very fortunate to represent the professional services team! Being part of EDI team, it also allowed me to express not only my input but my colleagues too, it also gave me a chance to understand and listen to other views. I like how diverse we are not just within the EDI team but within the Division too. One of my highlights of being part of EDI is finding out about mentoring scheme, attending the training and gaining myself a mentor!
