The UCL Department of Economics are running a multimedia competition open to Year 10 and 11 students. Groups of 5 students, with support from a school teacher, are asked to produce a 3 minute multimedia clip which relates to an assigned location around the UCL main campus and the theme ‘Capitalism, Growth and Inequality’. Entries will be judged by a panel from UCL Economics. The challenge will end with a celebration event, where all the top videos are shown and prizes are given, and participating students and teachers will get a chance to hear from department lecturers about studying economics at university, and what an economics degree can be used for.

Teachers are requires to submit the initial application on behalf of the group of 5 students

Entry requirements

Academic entry requirements

Applicants must be in Years 10 or 11 and predicted to achieve 5 or more 9-5 GCSE grades and an English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade 5.

Eligibility criteria

Our events and activities are funded by UCL's Access Agreement and Widening Participation funds. As such, there are eligibility criteria that all applicants should consider before applying.
