Supporting your career

As a student at UCL you will have many opportunities to engage with our alumni and learn from them.

Prominent alumni regularly come back to lead panel discussions, workshops and share their experiences and advice about their careers.

After graduation you'll continue to have access to careers support through UCL Connect, our professional development series. Provided you keep your details up-to-date, you'll receive invites to a range of events and activities - from speed networking to live LinkedIn chats with industry experts and international events.

Through our community of alumni volunteers, you'll have access to:

  • free online careers mentoring - accessible year round, no matter where you are, with over 500 registered alumni mentors
  • UCL's award-winning professional networking events - a great opportunity to find out how to break into an industry sector and quiz alumni professionals
  • an excellent jobs board, event information and entry to industry and international networks
  • your UCL virtual network - the UCL LinkedIn Alumni Group now has over 5,000 members and you can connect with alumni on Facebook and Twitter.

    The Mentor's View

Sophie Zielcke, mentor and member of alumni network
"Mentees can benefit from experience sharing and learn about paths they hadn't considered before. It is a rewarding experience to help someone with a similar passion to grow and find their way."

Sophie Zielcke (Geography 2011), Consultant at Boston Consulting Group, UCL Alumni Mentor
