How to apply

As with other UK universities, applications to UCL are made via UCAS. These pages guide you through the key points you need to consider.

Affiliate students

An affiliate student is a student who is registered for a qualification elsewhere but who wishes to study at UCL for academic credits. Affiliate study - normally on a full-time basis - is available in most UCL departments, across all subject areas.

Applicants should normally have studied for at least two years at university level and must satisfy UCL's academic entry requirements and, where appropriate, its English language proficiency requirements.

Students may attend UCL for:

  • a whole year;
  • the Autumn Term only (September-December), or
  • the Spring/Summer Terms only (January-June).
