We will contact firm offer holders from June to send evidence of their qualifications for us to verify.
On the Verification page of your Portico, we will say how we expect to receive your examination results.
All students joining UCL must verify their qualifications.
We will ask you to verify your programme and tuition fee information. You will need to log in to Portico (the applicant portal) and check this information carefully.
Verification by UCAS
In most cases, we will receive your results through UCAS from the examination boards (e.g., A Levels and International Baccalaureate).
UCAS provides a list of all the exam results they receive from the relevant examination board.
Verification by you
For some applicants we will ask you to submit copies of your official certificates via Portico.
We provide full details of the documents we need to verify on the Portico Verification page.
Translations
If your document is not in English, we will need a copy of your original certificate and/or transcript.
In most cases we also need an official translation into English.
Documents must be official
We are unable to accept any unofficial or school issued documents. All documents must be officially issued by the relevant exam board.
You should check your emails and Portico account regularly as we may have questions about your documents.
Unconditional offers
If you are holding an unconditional offer, we will ask you to upload evidence of your completed qualifications from July.
We must verify your qualifications results before we can confirm your place at UCL.
After uploading documents
Once you have uploaded your documents, the Undergraduate Admissions team will verify them as soon as possible.
Although we aim to make our final decision as soon as possible, this can take some time particularly during the summer results period.
Once we have verified your documents, we will send you an email to confirm that we have all the information we need.
If you are a conditional offer holder, please be aware that this email does not mean that we have made a final decision on your application.
Viewing our final decision
Once we have made our final decision, it will display in your Portico, and in your UCAS Track/Hub.
