Applications for the 2020 UCL Summer School are now open!
The application deadline is Monday 1st June 2020. However, places on modules are offered on a first-come, first-served basis so early application is advised. Please also note that applications submitted before March 2nd 2020 are exempt from the £60 application fee.
When completing the application form, you will be asked to identify two modules: a 'preferred' module and an 'alternative' module. You will only study one module in each session but all modules are subject to minimum participation requirements and maximum capacity numbers. Once you have identified the module(s) you would like to study, we advise you check with your home institution before you submit your application as your home institution will decide how much credit, if any, they will award for your module(s).
Completing your application
Please refer to our Application Guidelines (pdf) to help you complete your application form.
To complete your application you will need to:
- select a preferred module and alternative module;
- submit your academic qualifications/transcript;
- submit your English language qualification (if applicable);
- write a personal statement (approximately 250 words);
- pay the application fee
If you are not able to complete the application form immediately, you can save the form, log out and return later. Before submitting an application, please ensure that all sections are complete and includes all relevant documentation. Information on how UCL will use your personal data is set out in the Terms and Conditions document at the bottom of this page.
If you are unable to obtain a transcript, please upload an academic reference including comments on your academic standing and predicted grades.
If you work at another university or organisation and are interested in submitting a group application, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once you have submitted your application form, we will contact you within approximately five working days to inform you whether your application has been successful or not.
Accepting an offer
Once you have accepted your offer and paid the tuition fees, a place will be reserved for you on the programme. However, please note that your acceptance of an offer or payment of tuition fees does not guarantee your participation on a specific module.
Information on the selection, offer and availability of modules, and your rights to cancel your place on the programme in the event of the unavailability of modules, is set out in our terms and conditions (pdf).
