Study Abroad at UCL

Welcome to London! As a Study Abroad student at UCL you have access to an extensive and flexible range of subject options. Whether you are looking to focus solely on your major area of academic study, explore a more interdisciplinary route or experience something completely new, UCL can support you.

Study options

Study abroad students can join us for a full academic year, just the Autumn (Fall) term (September–December) or just the Spring/Summer terms (January–June).

Subjects

You will take at least 50% of your modules (what we call courses at UCL) from the department you are admitted to. You can also choose modules from other departments, subject to capacity and pre-requisites.

The UCL advantage

UCL is a multi-disciplinary university, home to centres of teaching excellence from architecture to languages, politics to engineering and history to astrophysics.

Summer School

If you're unable to join our semester programme but would like to come to UCL for a short period of study, we also run a Summer School, where students can join us for three or six weeks over the UK summer.
